An international group of researchers at Stanford (USA) and Berne (Switzerland) universities have managed to create a protein macromolecule capable for a few seconds to interrupt the process of starting the immune response to an allergen, and thus open the way for the development of effective drugs for the immediate response of acute allergic reactions. The paper was published Oct. 28 in the journal Nature.
